Versius arms measure their position and force thousands of times a second, making them safe to be around and easy to manoeuvre even during surgery giving you maximum flexibility. Light-weight, the arms are quick and easy to set up and prepare for surgery. The arms and wristed instruments deliver seven degrees of freedom for improved surgeon accuracy and dexterity.

This compact joint mimics the dexterity of the human wrist and, unlike other robots, enables Versius to hold a surgical instrument in the same way as a surgeon. This means the system can be used across a wide range of minimal access procedures whilst retaining its remarkable compact and portable form.

The open console design allows for improved team communications, whilst the 3D HD monitor provides enhanced visualisation of the surgical field. The console operates across a range of heights allowing for surgeons to choose their preferred ergonomic position whether that’s seated or standing.

Modular design

Designed to work together, each arm is mounted on its own mobile bedside cart and controlled from the nearby surgeon console. This modular design supports the use of up to five individual arms including a robotically controlled endoscope.
