Erik Langaker is an investor and professional board member. He has a background as tech entrepreneur and banker with a long career as co-founder and cornerstone investor in international technology companies. Among them; Payex Group, Geoknowledge, StormGeo Group, Simsurgery, Resoptima and HitecVision/Industries.
In addition to Cambridge Medical Robotics, Mr. Langaker is currently serving as the Chairman of Datarespons ASA (listed OSE), CAMO Software Group, EPC Plc and Kezzler Group. He is also on the Board of HitecVision (private equity), Resoptima and Brandmaster AS.
During the period 2007-2016 he acted as cornerstone investor and Chairman in the Stormgeo Group and transformed the company from a single location in Norway to a leading global player in Weather Risk Systems with 22 offices in 15 countries. The company was ultimately (2014) sold to the Swedish/Global private Equity Group EQT. During his leadership period the company saw more than 15x growth in revenue and 20x growth in value. He continued to serve as Chairman for further 2 years following their acquisition.
He serves on the program committee of NTNU, school for entrepreneurs (Norwegian Institute for Technology, Trondheim), and acts as industrial advisor for EQT Private equity.
His investment company, Vestland Invest AS, is an investor in Cambridge Medical Robotics Ltd.
